Chuck,
The umpires yesterday,
Mitch Galbrecht,
Tyler
Brakke,
Aaron
Hlavacek
and Andrew
Scavo, did
a great, great job umping the games!
Coachs and parents both commented on how well
they did. I had them read our tournament rules
beforehand and if they weren’t sure on something
they asked. They also arrived in plenty of time to
be briefed.
So thank you and please pass along my comments to
these fine young men.
Robin Dreyer
9 year old OMGAA League Coordinator
Chuck, I just
wanted to say that in our league OMGAA Junior House Fastpitch
there is an ump named Kyle Syverson. I just wanted to
compliment him. He is a wonderful ump. You can hear him, he is
approachable without getting defensive. Very professional and is
really good with the kids!! Besides knowing the game and being
right on with his calls. I would hope you could pass this on to
him. Thanks Chuck! Hi Chuck,
We wanted to contact you and
let you know what a great job our umpire did on Monday night. He
was the best umpire that we have encountered in 4 years of OMGAA
ball. This is why we thought so highly of him:
ED Pavek
1) clearly called balls and
strikes, announced ball count at appropriate times
2) hustled around the field
and was always in position to make the best call possible at each
base--even though it was 95 degrees at game time
3) clearly called time and
always made sure runners returned to base before play resumed
4) when questioned about a
call, he maintained composure and consulted his rule book before
explaining to the person questioning the call why he called the play
as he did
5) clear calls and lots of
hustle (they bear repeating!)
This was for OMGAA 13U Babe
Ruth on Monday (6/6/11), Weaver Lake Elementary #1 at 6:15pm (Round
Rock Express vs. Durham Bulls).
Please extend our appreciation
for a job really well done and encourage him to keep up the great
work.
Regards,
Guy and Anita Collins
Steve Hickel of Robbinsdale called to say that David Edwards did a fantastic job as an umpire and represented NMUA and Robbinsdale great during their tournament. GREAT JOB DAVID!
The Wayzata High School field is hard to
find as it can not be seen from the school parking lot.
The location of Hawks Memorial field is directly behind the Hamel downtown buildings. So behind the Inn Kahoots and Post Office. The main street is torn up, so to get to field the umpire will need to come from the East on Hamel Road or up Sioux Drive from the North. Please contact me on my cell 612-910-9426 or at the number below to confirm. I will call you if I don't hear from someone by this evening
